SEMA Reproductive Health (Shaping Equitable Market Acces)

This initiative aims to implement a program to rationalize global markets for reproductive health products. The pilot countries in Africa are Nigeria (5 states), Burkina Faso and Senegal. Thanks to the project's actions, a market assessment strategy and framework have been developed and tested.

A preliminary report was produced and distributed to development stakeholders. Steering committees have been set up in conjunction with the ministries of health to scale up the project.
Baobab Institute co-constructed the program's management and developed the network of players for the implementation and sustainability of the project in Burkina Faso and Senegal.
