Placide Tapsoba, MD, MPH, recently served the Susan T. Buffett Foundation as Regional Advisor for Francophone and West Africa. Prior to that, he was Country Director of the Population Council in Ghana and Senior Associate of their Reproductive Health Program. Dr. Tapsoba is a physician trained in public health who has gained considerable experience in sub-Saharan Africa working with policy makers, traditional and religious leaders and communities on sensitive public health issues, including sexual and reproductive health and rights.
